|Lol this seems to be pretty abandoned, but anyways. |
I'm not sure if anyone here heard that TA's issue with pathfinding was fixed or not, yet here we are.
14 years later it is finally a game we always wanted it to be - you can finally move huge armies all at once, as well as your AI foe, provided you've got a powerful CPU.
Pathfinding-patched file will provide a HUGE improvement to your experience with TA, better test it to believe it.
In the attached archives there are 4 TotalA.exe files which have an accelerated pathfinding measured at X rate to default pathfinding of 3.1c version.
They are all upgraded with NOCD, music patch and 5k unit limit additionally, so this should be your final cure to all things you were grumbling about in TA.
I suggest that the owner of this site should pin this file to the place it deserves in the file charter.
P.S. 100x acceleration was tested on a 3ghz quad-core machine (i've checked the resource monitor and found that my CPU consumption was at 50% for all 4 cores when a 1500-strong task force was moved across the map)
